This was the third rebrand that I had experienced and worked on at WorldStrides. But the first time I took lead on the website.

The agency was handling the rebrand and was supposed to build the new site too, but that was going to take about a year. And the CEO didn't want to wait, so you know what happened next.

The catch was the brand wasn't finished yet. So I designed a bridge version to move the site forward by incorporating some of the new branding with what we currently had. It was approved but then a few weeks later that got tossed since the new brand was taking shape and the CEO wanted to move forward with that.

Two designs. A lot of opinions.

The biggest source of tension was the navigation. The VP of Sales was advocating for sales associates, not teachers or parents. A teacher looking for a school trip thinks about the site completely differently than a sales associate selling it.

We ran tree tests and there wasn't a clear cut winner in the end. We landed on the navigation giving you a taste of what WorldStrides offers and guides you to search and filter to your destination or interest.
